In addition to his flourishing concert pianist, master class and recording career (for details, visit his personal website at www.richarddowling.com), Richard Dowling, PhD, has been both a frequent competition prizewinner and respected adjudicator, and has extensive fundraising experience as a longtime Director of the Piatigorsky Foundation.

Dr. Dowling has produced an extensive and growing body of critical performing editions, including Complete Solo Piano Works of Maurice Ravel, Three Sonatas, Opus 2 (1793) by Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Nocturnes #7-13 for solo piano by Gabriel Faure and Trio for Piano, Violin, and Cello (1914) by Maurice Ravel for Masters Music Publications, and Transcriptions of George Gershwin's player piano rolls and solo piano disc recordings for Warner Brothers Music Publications.

Dr. Dowling holds a bachelor of arts and a master of science from Yale University, where he won the Lockwood Award for best recital performance and the Simonds Award for outstanding solo and ensemble playing. He holds a doctor of musical arts from The University of Texas. He has held the position of artist-in-residence at Lamar University in Texas and The Harid Conservatory of Music in Florida
